He called to let the "supervisor" know he would be late. Then, he patiently, diligently changed it; the spare was flat, he noticed. He carefully put it on; then slowly drove a very short distance to a place to air it up; the machine was "out of order." ... okay, Lord .... Then, he called (thank You, Lord, for a "free" cell phone he had with him) a good friend, who was (after a while) able to come, with an air compressor, to fill up the spare tire. Then, they made sure it had enough air in it. He drove on to work. (not far away) Then, I slowly drove home. Well, I was to get my son to a VBS, that evening. ... anyway, ... that worked out, thanks to The Lord. And then, went on to a Ladies' Bible Study with some other ladies from our church, and two of my daughters. ;o) (one is grown & works nearby) We do not usually have so much going on, in one day. But The Lord's Grace was more than enough. ... I think it all means The Lord is wanting me to learn more about showing a patient, willing-to-submit-to-His-Will kind of heart. ... Harvested our first cabbage today for eggrolls tonight; some naughty rabbit ate half of it! It was big so we still have one half haha!

We put a few rows of steel supports up in our garden. The cucumbers and peas have already found the strings... will take a picture soon.

I'm hoping the increase in watering will sprout those stubborn seeds in this dry climate! We are going to sheet compost this fall on the new side of the garden. That really produces some crumbly black soil come spring!

We are starting our garden a bit later - and will be trying more container gardening - hoping to plant some carrots, peas, potatoes, corn, and herbs! :)

Got all my peas, cabbage and one type of cucumber and also regular potatoes planted today. Too windy to plant anymore today!

We can start putting the garden together about the first week in June. Today I started peas, huckleberries and crimson onions. I'll post a picture of a huckleberry seed when my camera battery recharges! Tiny, tiny!
