Feeding Our Family

The Bosch and Nutrimill are excellent machines and will get the job done. Below the critical information, is the technical information on the machines, but please first consider why in the world you even want to mill your own grains.

Well, it doesn't make you a more Godly person!  I've considered my past entry here and I think it sounded more like you "have" to mill to be doing God's will.  We don't think that at all.  Our goal is help women learn to cook with whole grains, feed their family well (even on a little budget, grains go far!) and to encourgage, encourage, encourage.  This is more of a regard to keep yourself fit and full of energy.  Who can function during the day if they are sick from eating too many of the wrong foods?  Not me!

Many people don't know much about milling their own grains and making their own bread. What happened?! Well, first lots of time passed. God's provision for healthy eating never changed though. Would you like to try to feed your family better?  We are all at different stages in life.  The resources for healthier eating are there but sometimes they aren't affordable.  You need not feel guilty that you can't do all at once.  The Lord provides all things.  Read on.  We are here to help people learn, not feel bad about not being able to buy our products.

My want to feed my family better started slowly, I didn't know what a mill was!  Ok, blushing here, but wheat?  I didn't know what a wheat grain looked like!  Fast and easy has become a tradition rather than taking the time to cook for our families; sickness is ever prevalent in our society. Many health problems are caused by unhealthy diets. High protein and no or low carbs is the fad today. Instead of trying whole foods, over the counter meds or food supplements are being used to correct lack of fiber. The process goes back and forth and is never ending!  Although we were healthy, I knew we could be eating better.  I wanted to be a healthy grandma one day, not one unable to help my children with their own children!

Consider Proverbs 31.

First Proverbs:
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies v.10; the next verses seem clear, The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil v.11; She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life v.13.; She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. Next, Titus 2:4-5: That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

These verses are not a case for you to mill!  They are a case for women to love and serve their families.   If you want to serve your family by changing the way you eat, we would love to encourage you, it brings us joy!
When God gave food to eat, it was healthy grains; manna and meat! Nothing has changed there, they are available. Consider His words in Deuteronomy 8:8-9; KJV A land of wheat and barley and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of oil olive and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack anything in it; This is wonderful!

Why Bosch Mixers?

Bosch has been around for 50 years.  A Bosch mixer is not just any other mixer.  I'm always asked what is the difference between it and the leading mass marketed mixer out today.  The new Universal Plus has the ability to hold 7qt, or 14lbs of dough.   The Bosch has 800 watts of power.

The Bosch mixers are meant for all your mixing needs not just bread dough!  Using the cookie paddles you can make triple batches of heavy cookie dough!  You may use the whips for lighter cakes, tea breads, batters such as pancakes...it only starts there.  We make sauces in our blender, crush nuts, make iced coffees, crack grains, chop vegetables real tiny...and if you later want to add attachments you can choose from various things such as a meat grinder, nut and cheese grater, juice and berry press, pasta maker, sausage stuffer, cookie press, food processor or slicer/shredder.
