Jessica put together this pattern for the challenge! Thanks, dear! The pumpkins are paper pieced (it's not hard!) I'll do a video for that step.
We'll provide the instructions and pattern for the runner, along with a video on how to piece the pumpkin.
Ten participants will receive special gifts from us! YAY! We'll have first and second place gifts, plus 8 runner-up gifts.
How to Play:
1. Join the Community, and make sure to subscribe to the Playful Pumpkin Patch forum (so you can get updates.)
2. Participate in posting progress updates as you work on your runner - encourage others also! (Enthusiasm always wins!)
Fabric Requirements are posted in the above forum - pattern and video will be posted the day before the start date.
Start Date: September 2nd, Harvest Moon!!
End Date: September 22nd, First day of fall!
The image below shows my fabric choices - I'm using Bella Solids, All Hallow's Eve, and Midnight Magic - by Moda Fabrics.
I purchased my fabric on Etsy:
Handmade is Heart Made - Midnight Magic
Gardenia Fabrics - All Hallow's Eve
Bear Country Cottons - All the Bella Solids
I purchased 1 1/4 yards for the backing. You'll also need 1/4 yd. for binding. You can make your own binding - I show how to make your own binding, plus other quilting techniques on this video page. {bottom core videos}

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. RLStevenson
We will have to make an apple instead of pumpkin, though. No oranges in our stash

Hi Judy! If you can post here, you're joined. Only members can post. Just check in and out and let us know you're working on the runner. I'll be emailing all the participants of the community the actual pattern the night before it starts. I'll post the video in this forum on piecing the pumpkins. Feel free to ask any questions! Glad to have you!
Hope this means I am in! Have been trying to figure out how this new forum works! Love paper piecing and, of course, fall projects rate very high!
